The record

The Trades Record republishes public license records from Virginia DPOR with the date of the list each page was built from. We work to keep it accurate and correct errors within two business days of notice, but the Board's record is the authority: confirm a license there before you rely on it. We make no claim about any firm's quality of work.

Claims and the seal

Claiming a record is free and open to an owner or authorised representative of the licensed business. The Licensed and Listed seal is issued to a claimed record and may be displayed by that business while its license is active and the record remains claimed. The seal always links to a verification page; displaying it for an unclaimed or inactive record is not permitted.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site for resale, submit claims for a business you do not represent, or use the site to harass a listed business. We may remove a claim or block access for misuse.
