What The Trades Record is, and is not
A public record of state-licensed trades contractors, one metro at a time, kept by a company that says who it is.
Where the records come from
Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR), public regulant lists. We download the regulant lists every 5 days, keep the fields the Board publishes (license number, class, specialties, certification and expiration dates, city), and add only what a firm publishes about itself: its phone number and website. Every page shows the date of the list it was built from.
What we never do
- Sell leads or pass a homeowner's request to more than one firm. Contact goes to the firm's own number.
- Charge for a listing, a seal, or a position. There is no paid tier.
- Rank, score or feature anyone. Pages are alphabetical.
- Publish reviews or ratings.
- Text or call a business that has not asked us to.
Who operates it
Execution Partner LLC, Richmond, Virginia. We build marketing and measurement systems for owner-operated trades businesses. The record is our way of introducing ourselves honestly: a firm that claims its record may get one note from us with its one-page read, and can decline anything further with one reply. Corrections
A wrong phone, a closed business, a changed name: send a correction. License facts come from the Board's list; if the Board's record is wrong, the fix has to be made there and we pick it up at the next refresh.
